Insured. WCB covered. Documented.

Everything your office needs from us.

Commercial general liability through Tokio Marine Canada and active WCB Alberta coverage. Certificate of insurance and WCB clearance letter sent the same day you ask — and we’ll name your company as additional insured on request. If your project carries higher limit requirements, tell us at quote stage and we’ll confirm coverage before we bid.

Our Standards

What you can hold us to, in writing.

We keep Clear Base small on purpose — a four-person crew lets us run a tight operation without subcontracting jobs to whoever’s available. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

Same-day quotes

Inquire before 5pm on a business day — written quote back the same day, usually within a couple of hours. Standard, not a marketing slogan.

Same crew, every visit

No subcontractors. No agency labour. The same four trained, vetted people do every job. Your office manager learns names, not new faces every week.

Insurance & WCB

Commercial general liability and active WCB Alberta coverage. Certificate and clearance letter on file before we step on a job site. Crew tickets on file: CSTS, WHMIS, fall protection and first aid.

Eco-friendly products

Effective on residue, paint, and adhesive — gentle on finishes, surfaces, and indoor air. Safe around staff, tenants, kids, and pets.

Photo documentation

Every job gets photographed on completion. Archived for your records, handy when a damage-deposit dispute or a handover question comes up.

Calgary & Area

We service Calgary and surrounding areas including Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane, and Okotoks. Same standard everywhere we go.

THE PAPERWORK, EXPLAINED

What each document is, and why your office asks for it.

Most commercial clients ask for three documents before we start, and plenty of office managers are told to collect them without being told what they are for. Here is what each one actually does.

Certificate of insurance

Proof from the insurer, not from us, that our commercial general liability policy is active. Ours is through Tokio Marine Canada. The three things worth checking on any certificate are the policy period, the limit, and the named insured. If your contract sets a higher limit than our standard, tell us at quote stage and we will confirm coverage before we bid, rather than after you have awarded the work.

Additional insured endorsement

Naming your company as additional insured gives you rights under our policy for liability arising out of our work, which is why general contractors and commercial landlords usually write it into the contract instead of just asking for a certificate. Your broker will tell you whether yours requires it. We add it on request, at no charge and without a discussion about it.

WCB clearance letter

Confirmation from WCB Alberta that our account is in good standing and our premiums are current. This one carries more weight than people expect. WCB Alberta’s own guidance is that a company hiring a contractor without coverage can end up responsible for that contractor’s outstanding premiums, under section 126 of the Workers’ Compensation Act. That is the exposure the letter closes. Ask and ours comes the same day, or check us yourself through WCB Alberta’s clearance letter service.

How fast you get them

The same day you ask. All three are kept current rather than renewed once a client starts chasing, which is the difference between a document request taking an hour and taking a fortnight. If a cleaning contractor cannot produce all three quickly, that is worth knowing before they are on your site rather than after.

THE TICKETS, AND WHAT THEY ARE FOR

Four tickets, four specific reasons.

The crew carries four safety tickets. They are named here rather than summarised, because a one-word safety claim tells you nothing about what someone is actually allowed to do on your site.

CSTS

The Construction Safety Training System orientation. It is the baseline most Alberta sites require before anyone goes through the gate, and it is the reason a cleaning crew does not get turned around on arrival.

Fall protection

Required for work at height. On a post-construction site that means high ceilings, light fixtures, upper windows and anything reached from a ladder or platform rather than from the floor.

WHMIS

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. It covers how the products we bring on site are labelled, handled and stored, so our chemicals get logged properly instead of becoming your safety coordinator’s problem.

First aid

Someone on the crew can respond on the spot instead of waiting for help to arrive. On a site with no other trades present, that is the whole difference.

What we do not claim

There is no such thing as a post-construction cleaning certification. If a cleaning company tells you it holds one, ask which body issued it. These four tickets are real, current, and named for exactly that reason.

Before you let any cleaning crew on site

Four things worth asking for, from us or from anyone else bidding:

  • A certificate of insurance showing the limit your contract requires.
  • An additional insured endorsement, if your contract calls for one.
  • A current WCB clearance letter, not one from last year.
  • The ticket list for the people actually attending, not the company’s best case.

We can send all four the same day. A contractor who cannot is telling you something useful about how the rest of the job will go.

Same-day quotes during business hours. Service starts within the week.
